Description
In a world where the rehabilitation of criminals is often questioned, Parole Peril asks desperate inmates to use their brains to solve puzzles for a one-way ticket to parole. There are no guarantees in life, though, so only the brightest may take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
Do you want to bring some color back to these characters' lives? Forget being an executioner. Use your hangman skills to solve word puzzles and get ahead of the competition if you wish to make it to the final round and win that sweet prize of time.
This game was created for "The Very Serious Juniper Dev Game Jam" as a solo submission.

Credits
See the in-game credits for more specific attributions. Assets not created by me are largely from Pixabay and slightly from Nintendo and Microsoft. For no particular reason, I feel compelled to credit the American game show Wheel of Fortune as well.
I am further compelled to note that cigarettes are bad for you, so you should not smoke them.

It's...interesting but it's also a lot of sitting around while the computer plays with itself. And takes all the good letters.
Thanks for the feedback! The CPU logic is pretty boneheaded. Whenever I feel like coming back to this game, I'd like to work on speeding up the game loop and giving the players more agency on controlling the board (i.e., give you a chance to mess with other players and get back to your turn).
